Lord Mayor's Visit

Today the Lord Mayor Cllr Dara Murphy and the Lady Mayoress visited our school. It is a tradition of our city that the Lord Mayor visit all the schools in the city during their year in office. SWISPI our European visitor welcomed him, to our school. He told us how important it is to bring a smile to school each day.

He also told us that we should look after our city for our own grand children by caring for our environment. He reminded us to REDUCE, REUSE and RECYCLE.

The Lord Mayor and the Lady Mayoress went around and met lots of the teachers and pupils.

Before they left Mrs Mulvihill and Mrs Lovett led us in the singing of Cork's own anthem 'The Banks of My Own Lovely Lee'.
