As part of our YELLOW FLAG RROGRAMME we celebrated the Chinese New Year with a whole school event. Each class took part in a Red Envelope Hunt in the school Hall to find envelopes containing chocolate coins. This is a tradition practised in Chinese culture each year. The children also made masks  using the Chinese Zodiac Calendar with the year they were born to see which animal they were to make. It was great fun for all and a great way to celebrate one of the many cultures represented in our school.

Ms Fitzgerald’s 5th class sang a selection of Christmas Carols for the residents of Heather House. Thank you also to Ms Murphy who accompanied them on guitar. This was thoroughly enjoyed by all and a wonderful community experience.
